Massoud Shiraz, a master art conservator with over thirty years of experience, is recognized nationally and internationally for his restoration and consultation expertise. He has maintained a private conservation studio in Charlotte since 1979 as well as in Frankfurt, Germany. Professionally he has worked to establish collections of fine art and frames. He has restored paintings in the United States for private individuals, museums, auction houses, galleries, and corporations. Shiraz has been featured in a great many publications including The Charlotte Observer and Southern Living Magazine. “Southern Living Presents,” a documentary featuring his work and restoration studio, aired on Turner South in 2004. Shiraz is a professional member of the American Institute of Conservation and the Southeast Regional Conservation Association. |

Yousef Shiraz studied art and worked with Massoud Shiraz in his conservation studio from 1985-1992. In 1992 Yousef moved to Frankfurt, Germany, where he began to operate his own conservation studio. In 2001 he joined Peter Waldeis, the ex-chief conservator for the Stadelmuseum of Frankfurt, in opening a conservation studio in Frankfurt. Yousef and Peter continued to work together until 2005 when Peter retired, leaving Yousef as the chief conservator of their conservation studio.
